Getting help with building Spotify apps just got easier. Today, we're introducing the Spotify for Developers community forum, a new home for conversations about developing software on the Spotify platform. This forum is the place to ask questions about Spotify developer tools, share feedback on the platform, and connect with other developers who are building on the Spotify API.

A new community experience

Since 2015, Spotify has used GitHub issue trackers to collect bug reports and feature requests on our Web API and Web Playback SDK. Through GitHub, we have received lots of valuable feedback that has helped to make our platform better. The new Spotify for Developers forum replaces the issue trackers and it includes plenty of features that make it easy to participate in conversations and subscribe to topics you're interested in. Most importantly, the new forum is optimized for open ended conversations that might not fit the format of a GitHub issue. You can use it to share issues or feature requests, but the forum is also a great place to chat about best practices, share app ideas, discuss client libraries, and more.

Planning to ask a technical question in the new forum? Be sure to include plenty of details so that other members of the forum can help you out. For example, if you are asking about a problem that you're seeing with one of our Web API endpoints then consider including information like the response code you received from Spotify, the method and endpoint in your request, and/or a snippet of your code.
