Record Player is an internet Rube Goldberg Machine that combines the Google Cloud Vision API and the Spotify API.

Upload a picture of a record cover, the image will be sent to the Google Vision API, which will guess what it is. The app will then search Spotify using Google’s guess, and give you the first result to play.

The app imagines a new way of connecting real objects to the online world, and aspires to bridge the gap between browsing a friend’s record collection and having the perfect song at your fingertips.

The app queries the Web API based on results from the Google Vision API, then embeds an HTML Widget in the user’s browser.
